Football is back in Clinton

Clinton High School varsity football scrimmaged Strom Thurmond Aug. 12 at Wilder Stadium, and the Presbyterian College football offense and defense scrimmages Aug. 13 at Bailey Memorial Stadium - a clear signal that football is back in Clinton. For the Red Devils, it was the 4th scrimmage in 4 days, and a 7-0 win (Charlie Craven to Aaron Copeland TD pass) over the tough Rebels. PC ran about 130 plays in its first Saturday scrimmage action. Clinton will open its 2016 football season Aug. 25 against Laurens, 7:30 pm at home (Wilder Stadium). PC football will open its 2016 season on Thursday, Sept. 1, playing at Central Michigan. The Blue Hose aren't home until Sept. 24, night action at Bailey Memorial Stadium against Florida Tech. - Photos by Vic MacDonald
