Dancing in the Warehouse

Posted

A cotton warehouse in uptown Clinton has been transformed into South Carolina's newest events venue - Cotton Loft The Venue - and it is open for business. A March 23 unveiling raised money for 4 animals' causes (Cocktails for Kitties) and kept the venue hopping til 1 am. Star Chappell, owner of the popular Cabana Cafe in Newberry, has developed the venue, and she credited Clinton city official Tink Barnes with finding the space and assisting with the development. Star and her staff accommodated 400 friends for the venue opening, featuring music by Roy Daye Jr. and DJ Trav. Cotton Loft The Venue includes the Prevette Room, Main Event Space, Chapel, Bridal Suite, Groom's Room, ladies restroom with lounge, men's restroom, and two handicap/family restrooms, with two entrances and an office. Sponsors for this event: City of Clinton - Main Street Clinton, Economic Development, West Electrical Contractors, Platinum; Zac & Noah Enterprises, F&D Electrical, Clinton Newberry Natural Gas, Home Sweet Home Interiors - Gold; Stoke Trainor, Cooper Motor Company, Michael & Company Interiors - Silver; and Mayes Plumbing, Heating & Air, United Community Bank - Bronze.
