Laurens Academy's 17th Commencement was conducted Friday (May 25) in Edmunds Hall at Presbyterian College. Class speeches were made by Ashley Magda, Joshua Moore, the Salutatorian, and Ryan Anderson, the Valedictorian. Guest speaker was 3rd District Congressman Jeff Duncan (his full remarks are on the congressman's Facebook page). Special music was presented by Florence Mitchell, a Junior Marshal, singing "Don't Forget to Remember Me." The commencement audience was told 5 of the 10 graduates had been together for 14 years, and graduate Wil Tindall was presented The Founder's Award.
