Presbyterian College Football Head Coach Kevin Kelley told the Laurens County Touchdown Club Sept. 23, "My team did not deserve to get beat like that. That one's on me." Here's how it happened.
Kelley explained that behind 35-0 he knew PC was not going to beat Campbell in this game (PC's 3rd after 2 overwhelming wins), so he had a decision to make: run, and run-out the clock, OR stick with the normal offense and run it like a practice but against a superior opponent. He decided to run the normal offense.
The Blue Hose are on the road at Dayton this Saturday in the Pioneer Football League season-opener.
