Five touchdowns by Mark Wise (5) and relentless blocking by the Clinton offensive line led the Red Devils to a 47-33 home win Sept. 8 over the Aiken Green Hornets. The Red Devils built an early lead and withstood an Aiken 4th quarter comeback, to record their first win of the 2017 season. It was a Dedication Game for Clinton - each player chose an inspiring woman in his life and these women were honored at a special dinner and in a pre-game ceremony. CHS Athletics also honored the late Harold Williams for more than 3 decades dedicated to coaching. The Red Devils are back in the friendly confines of Wilder Stadium Sept. 22 against Chesnee and Sept. 29 against Chapin, region play against the defending 3A State Champion. - Photos by Vic MacDonald
