The commemoration of the 237th Anniversary of The Patriot Victory at Musgrove Mill was staged Aug. 19 - the date of the battle - at the Musgrove Mill State Historic Site near Clinton. Members of the Sons, Daughters and Children of the American Revolution attended to represent their chapters and lay wreaths near the battlefield. State Sen. Danny Verdin was guest speaker, and after the commemoration the Verdin ice cream wagon served the activity participates at the interpretive center's expansive front porch. Musgrove Mill will host a total eclipse of the sun viewing and interpreptive activities Aug. 21, and will have Presbyterian College freshmen for a service project Aug. 22. - Photos by Vic MacDonald
