SAMSUNG DONATES $10,000 TO NEWBERRY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL CLASSROOM SUPPLIES
NEWBERRY, S.C. – Samsung Electronics Home Appliance America (SEHA) continues its partnership with the Newberry County School District by donating $10,000 to help fulfill teachers’ back-to-school wish lists. Samsung’s donation will help teachers clear their lists as school begins.
“Samsung knows new school supplies are crucial to setting up classrooms. We are thrilled to contribute to so many deserving teachers in Newberry County who work tirelessly to make their classrooms bright, engaging, and innovative for students,” said Ashley Forrester, Strategic Communications Director at Samsung.
Since arriving in Newberry over six years ago, Samsung has partnered with the Newberry County School District in many ways. Support for a new state-of-the-art technology room, STEM camp tours, and hosting National Manufacturing Day are just a few ways Samsung has invested in the teachers and students of Newberry County.
Samsung President and CEO, Jeremy Lee was on hand at the back-to-school bash held on August 2 to present the surprise $10,000 donation. Lee thanked teachers for their dedication to their students and pledged Samsung’s continued support for teachers and students alike.
“We are thankful for Samsung’s ongoing support for the teachers and students of Newberry County,” said Newberry Superintendent, Alvin Pressley. “Samsung’s dedication to our community never wavers and we look forward to continuing the partnership this upcoming school year.”
