Author & Storyteller are coming for programs

Author Beatriz Williams Comes to the Laurens Library

The Laurens County Library is proud to host bestselling author Beatriz Williams, July 11 at 1 pm.  Ms. Williams has written over twenty historical novels, both alone and with fellow bestselling authors Karen White and Lauren Willig. 

Her books have won numerous awards, been translated into over a dozen languages, and are international hits. Her appearance will concentrate on her latest novel, Husbands and Lovers. Amazon describes this book as “Two women—separated by decades and continents, and united by an exotic family heirloom—reclaim secrets and lost loves in this sweeping novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Summer Wives.” Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.

This special afternoon program will run from 1 to 3 pm at the Laurens Library location. It is free and open to the public.

Storyteller Extraordinaire Visits the Laurens Library

Laurens — Professional Storyteller Darion McCloud visits the Laurens Library, July 11 at 10 am as part of The Laurens County Library System’s Summer Reading programming. 

A South Carolina Arts Commission Verified Teaching Artist, Mr. McCloud has performed in settings as varied as prisons and Governor’s Mansions. He is also a favorite of many school children! There will only be this one performance at 10 am and space is limited so come early to enjoy this very special appearance.

This program is free and open to the public.
