On Saturday, October 19th, the Laurens County Sheriff's Office held its annual K9 and Bloodhound Fundraiser from 10 am to 2 pm. This event offered a fun-filled afternoon with raffles, face painting, delicious food, and engaging activities. Made possible by generous support from local vendors including Big Air, Moose Salon, Dude Bites, Sizzle-n-Snacks, the American Legion, and more.
 
At 12 pm, the K9 unit showcased its exceptional skills in tracking, narcotics detection, and apprehensions during a live demonstration. Lieutenant Alexander expressed her gratitude to the community for their support, stating, "Thank y'all for everything y'all do to support our K9 Unit. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and support from the community to continue doing what we do."
