Sophomore quarterback Tyler Wesley of the Presbyterian College football team has been selected as the inaugural Game One / Adidas PC Student-Athlete of the Week.

Wesley takes the award after posting 307 yards of total offense as the Blue Hose defeated Virginia-Lynchburg on Saturday, 48-17.

A native of St. Cloud, Florida, Tyler excelled in just his third career start for head coach Steve Englehart, responsible for a quartet of touchdowns (three in the air, another with his feet) and six plays that landed as 20-plus yarders.

Completing 56% of his passing attempts (14-for-22) while never throwing an interception, Wesley surpassed his previous career-high of 281 total yards against Valparaiso last October. He guided the Blue Hose to their 55th overall victory in Bailey Memorial Stadium’s two-decade history, engineering a game-closing 28-0 run that blew open a three-point difference at the time.

The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university’s alliance with Adidas that began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.

Game One is among the largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers in the country, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
