The Clinton Red Devils are clicking on all cylinders so far in the 2021 high school football season - winning 100-7 over their previous two opponents, Calhoun County and Blue Ridge. The Red Devils have unleashed a punishing ground game so far this season. Against Blue Ridge (they and Calhoun County are non-region opponents) Clinton’s defense scored 2 safeties and 2 pick-six, pass interceptions for touchdowns. The competition gets stiffer for the Red Devils going forward - Sept. 24 against Newberry, in a game rescheduled after postponement because of Covid; and Oct. 1 against Union County, the Region Opener.
