Laurens, S.C. — Today, Congressman Jeff Duncan announced the keynote speaker for his twelfth annual Faith & Freedom BBQ hosted at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center on August 28 at 6pm in Anderson, SC. The event is South Carolina’s leading opportunity for voters to meet and engage with an array of Republican leaders.

“I served with Governor Ron DeSantis in Congress and know how committed he is to restoring the values that made America the envy of the world,” said Congressman Jeff Duncan. “In Florida, Governor DeSantis refuses to let radical leftists brainwash children with Critical Race Theory (CRT) and he stopped the war on kids by blocking trans therapies like puberty blockers. Additionally, he has consistently opposed ESG and DEI policies from corporations that are beholden to leftists or foreign governments. On good days, Ron and I have rallied conservatives in the House; but, on a dark day in America, we came face-to-face with the radical leftist that tried to kill Republicans during the Congressional Baseball shooting. House Republicans overcame that fateful day and conservatives will overcome the radical, woke, leftist policies that put our grandchildren’s future in jeopardy.”

“The Faith & Freedom BBQ is my favorite event of the year. South Carolina is known as the proving ground for GOP presidential candidates, and I’m humbled that Faith & Freedom BBQ has become the number one stop as candidates contend for the vote of South Carolinians.”

Noted as South Carolina’s largest annual gathering of conservatives, the Faith & Freedom BBQ welcomes guests from the ruby-red Upstate, Midlands, Pee-Dee and Lowcountry—in addition to voters from Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and more.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at JeffDuncan.com. To thank them for their service, veterans and first responders may purchase tickets for $1.

Rep. Jeff Duncan Demands Answers from Biden DOT and ATF to Ensure Protections for the Firearm Industry

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Jeff Duncan issued a letter to the Department of Transportation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to guarantee protections for the firearm industry against any attacks on the constitutionally enshrined right to bear arms by the Biden Administration as they seek to crack down on loss and theft with carriers and shippers.

“Today, I led a letter along with 39 of my colleagues to DOT and ATF providing oversight over the implementation of President Biden’s March 14 executive order that included a provision calling upon DOT and ATF to engage with carriers and shippers,”said Congressman Jeff Duncan. “The ability to ship firearms in commerce is integral to our right to bear arms. Unfortunately, President Biden has shown he is willing to go above and beyond the rule of law to impose his gun control agenda and attack the firearms industry.”

“Congress has the responsibility to provide checks and balances over the Executive Branch to ensure our right to keep and bear arms is not infringed. This letter seeks to gather information from DOT and ATF regarding any plans to regulate the shipment of firearms. Should DOT or ATF issue such a regulation, we ask they consider the statutory limitations of their authority and cost of compliance to the firearms and shipping industries.”
