The Clinton Little Devils Competition Team traveled to Charleston, SC and participated in the TriCounty Championship Competition sponsored by the World Cheer Company on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Head Cheer Coach Bayley Canupp: To say these girls did amazing in an understatement. They put everything they have into their performance and left it all on the mat. We do not practice until we get it right, we practice until we can’t get it wrong. We fought and won our spot at the top and they definitely deserved their titles: Open Rec 1st Place AND Level 1 Over All Grand Champion.
“This is also CLD’s highest cheer accomplishment to date.
“I personally would like to thank my Co-Coach Tah’Nyah Jeter and team moms DeAnna Jeter, Joy Laird and Alice Shifferly for their help and hard work during the season while I was out having my son. Thank you to our CLD family for always being there for us. We all would like to thank our families, friends, and community for all their love, prayers and support leading up to the competition in Charleston. The work we put in was only part of the battle. We could not have done it without the help of fundraising, donations and support! We have high hopes for the CLD Cheer in the future seasons. Now, it’s back to work! As always, GO CLINTON LITTLE DEVILS!!”
