The First Day of School, 2022.
Scott King and Melodie Edwards welcome students last Tuesday (Aug. 16) to Clinton Elementary School, as District 56 begins its 2022-23 academic year. The Presbyterian College Volleyball team members serve as safety patrol for the first day in the school’s circular driveway and car line, and distribute copies of their upcoming season schedulle, inviting everyone to their matches at the Templeton Arena. Classes also commence at Clinton High School and Middle School, Eastside Elementary, Joanna Woodson Elementary, and MS Bailey Child Development Center. Last Monday, during the district’s opening convocation, Olivia Gardner was named the District Teacher of the Year, and Donna Davis was named the District Support Staff of the Year.
