A youth empowerment program for the first time will be sponsored by District 56 and the Bell Street Concerned Citizens Group on Monday at the Clinton High School auditorium. Open to the public free of charge, the program will be 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the Jan. 18 federal holiday commemorating the birthday of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King. Workshops and breakout sessions will include Effective Communication with Law Enforcement and Conflict Resolution. A free hot dog lunch will be available, and door prizes will be awarded.
