March 31, 2025

Presbyterian College recently hosted its Accepted Student Day, welcoming incoming freshmen to experience campus life and prepare for their journey as Blue Hose. The event introduced students and parents to PC’s academic programs, student life, and the tight-knit community that defines the PC experience.

“Accepted Student Day is a key moment for students to envision themselves as part of the PC community,” said Dr. Brandon Vinson, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “It helps them feel confident and excited about their decision to join the Blue Hose family.”

A WARM WELCOME TO CAMPUS

The event kicked off with a warm welcome in Belk Auditorium, followed by separate tracks for students and parents. Future Blue Hose participated in “True Blue Camaraderie,” which included speed friending and exploring the library and other parts of campus.

Parents and guests attended informational sessions that covered topics including academic assistance, career development, student life, and more.

“It’s important during events such as Accepted Student Day to provide families with comprehensive insights into their student’s future college experience,” Vinson said.

EXPLORING ACADEMICS AND CAMPUS LIFE

Students explored PC’s wide range of academic offerings and learned about the many clubs and organizations available to enhance the college experience at the Academics and Student Involvement Fair.

“Today was a 10 out of 10,” said Braeden Foster, an incoming freshman from Greer, S.C. “I knew when I visited campus that PC was the right college for me. I’m excited to be a Blue Hose!”

BUILDING CONNECTIONS AT THE TRUE BLUE CELEBRATION

The True Blue Celebration in the afternoon gave students and their families a chance to relax, enjoy lunch, and connect with future classmates.

Becoming a Blue Hose feels like a family tradition for incoming freshman Kelsey Gantt, whose sister, Hallie, graduated from PC in 2022 and will graduate from PC’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program later this year.

“I love PC,” the Batesburg, S.C., native said. “I enjoyed meeting new people here today at Accepted Student Day, and I’m looking forward to meeting more when I come back in the fall.”

A GLIMPSE INTO CAMPUS LIVING

Students toured residence halls in the afternoon, gaining a firsthand look at their future living spaces. For those interested in pharmaceutical sciences, special tours of the PC School of Pharmacy provided an inside look at the college’s facility dedicated to pharmacy education.

“It was a successful event,” Vinson said. “Accepted Student Day truly embodied our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for incoming students as they prepare to join the Blue Hose family this fall.”
