We Celebrate Christmas

Posted

On a beautiful, late-fall Saturday morning - December 7, 2019 - Clinton residents and visitors celebrated the coming Christmas Season with the annual Christmas Parade on Broad Street. Hundreds lined both sides of the thoroughfare to watch floats, cars and buses, walking group, the Clinton High Band and singers, The Island of Misfit Toys, Grinch (boo!), football players and cheerleaders, college wrestlers, horses and dogs, and even a Haunted Christmas Float. Finally, Santa finished out the parade in a spectacular, white open-air, horse-drawn carriage. It was the crowning event for 2 and 1/2 days of pre-Christmas activities sponsored by the City of Clinton, Main Street Clinton and their partners. Laurens, Gray Court and Whitten Center also scheduled for parades for Dec . 7, as the Christmas holiday season is rapidly approaching. - Photos by Vic MacDonald
