The First Survivor of Alzheimer’s Disease may have already been born.
At least that’s the hope of walkers on Saturday morning at Martha Franks Retirement Community in Laurens.
They staged the Laurens County Walk for Alz, a springtime variation on walks conducted throughout the fall, throughout the nation encouraging greater support for the cause of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease - an as-yet-incurable condition that afflicts more than 7 Million people in the United States.
One day, the white flower - The Survivor's Flower - will be added to the Alzheimer's bouquet.
