The Swingin' Medallions will be featured performers Thursday, Aug. 25, 7 pm - Town Rhythms, following the 6 pm "PC Welcome Party, and Back to School Bash" in uptown Clinton. The City of Clinton, businesses, restaurants and organizations will have activities and door prizes for Presbyterian College students. The PC cheerleaders, pep band, Scotsman mascot and football players and coaches will participate in the welcome back activities - bringing 400 freshmen and new School of Pharmacy students to Clinton.
It's part of a very active Aug. 25-27 weekend: Thursday, Aug. 25, Laurens County Healthcare Foundation board has a dinner at Presbyterian College. Friday, Aug. 26, noon at The Ridge in Laurens, the Laurens County Touchdown Club's first 2016 meeting features local coaches. Friday, 7:30 pm at Wilder Stadium, Laurens invades Clinton for the rivalry's first-ever season-opening varsity football game. Saturday, Aug. 27, hundreds of bicyclists take wing at 8 am from Bailey Memorial Stadium on the PC campus for Flight of the Dove, sponsored by Hospice of Laurens County. Registration starts at 7 am.
