The Square is a-Squealin’. For its 20th year, Squealin’ on the Square is a very well-attended festival Oct. 1 and 2 on the Square in downtown Laurens. The traditional BBQ competition and a new steak-cooking competition are held along with entertainment (Remedy 58, pictured), a photo booth, Laurens County Cruisers Car Show and Cruise-in, 4-H Down on the Farm, amusement rides, and Laurens Rotary Duck Race. Volunteers manned the golf carts that shuttled festival-goers to and from vehicles in nearby parking lots.
