CLINTON, S.C. – The Clinton Chronicle is proud to invite the community to the 2nd Annual Hometown Heroes Event, a family-friendly celebration honoring the everyday heroes of Laurens County. The event will take place on Friday, June 28, and promises an evening filled with music, food, crafts, and heartfelt appreciation.
This community gathering was inspired by the Clinton Chronicle’s special Hometown Heroes Tabloid, publishing on June 25, which pays tribute to local individuals who go above and beyond — from firefighters and veterans to teachers, nurses, and community volunteers. In celebration of these inspiring stories, the June 28 event brings the pages of the newspaper to life with an opportunity for residents to meet and thank these heroes face to face.
Local Craft Vendors – Browse handmade goods from 10 talented artisans
Food Trucks – Enjoy delicious options, including Beat the Heat Lemonade and Mrs. V’s Southern Kitchen
Live Music – Southern rock and country band Chillbilly takes the stage

Meet the Heroes – Shake hands and share gratitude with those who serve our community every day
This free event welcomes families, neighbors, and anyone who wants to honor the local heroes who make Laurens County a better place to live.
