Fentanyl

If you come in contact with these types of pills, they are extremely dangerous.

This is not a new trend, but we ran into it again recently and want to spread awareness. A batch of fentanyl pills were seized last night by the Laurens City Police Department. These pills were intentionally disguised to look like Oxycodone HCL 30 mg tablets, which are a Schedule II Controlled Substance. These pills are not professionally pressed (i.e. some falling apart) and are varying in color from light blue, to dark blue and even a light green tint. They are round pills stamped with a “V” on one side and a ”4812” on the other, which is indicative of an actual Oxycodone pill. This intentional misrepresentation has caused overdoses across the US by individuals that believe they are consuming a drug other than Fentanyl.
If you come in contact with these types of pills, they are extremely dangerous. They can cause an overdose upon contact or within close proximity, if residue is in the air. Please stay clear and contact Law Enforcement if you encounter these types of pills.
