One person died, and one person was seriously injured July 30 in a crash at the Ware Shoals Dragway. A Go Fund Me page has been established for the family of driver Anthony Craig Owen, of Easley, who died in this crash. A separate Go Fund Me page has been established to assist the family with medical treatment for Jason Kelly, who was in critical care at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood. Kelly's wife said Jason was trying to get her, family friends and children out of the way of flying debris when he was struck and knocked into a truck beside the dragway. The Laurens County Coroner's Office has ordered an autopsy of Owen's body. This YouTube video of the wreck has been viewed more than 100,000 times since Saturday night.
