The families of Jasmine Peake and Madison Simmons release balloon clusters, which flew away together, on Friday, May 7, at the Color Blind program at the Clinton High track. The two teens died together April 29. Their parents – Travis Peake, Dicie Copeland and Wendy Polson – applaud as Clinton Mayor Bob McLean declares the date “Color Blind Day” for the city, in honor of the girls’ long-time friendship. Also in the program, Tabby Taylor sings “Take Me to the King” as the balloons are brought in for release. – Photos by Vic MacDonald
