On Mother's Day, May 8, ESPN devotes a portion of its popular Sports Center program to a Mother's Mission. Peggy Nibert, of Clinton, is featured in her work fostering the "smallest of the small" - infants who need emergency placement. With her family, Peggy has spent several years bringing into her home and nurturing back to health infants that have suffered abuse. Her work earned Peggy Nibert the 2014 Clinton Chronicle Horizon Person of the Year recognition. The Niberts brought their message of hope for these infants to a Guardian ad Litem event April 30 in Laurens, and they received a national coaches association award during NCAA Basketball National Championship Weekend in Houston. The Niberts are not interested in awards - you can find them at all home Presbyterian College men's basketball games and many other events with an infant in their arms. For them, seeing these precious children made whole again, is reward enough.
