CLINTON,SC - Laurens County School District 56 proudly hosted Veterans Day ceremonies across Clinton and Joanna, South Carolina, demonstrating deep gratitude and respect for the nation's heroes. On November 11, students, faculty, and staff from six schools came together to honor the selfless service and sacrifices of America's veterans.
Clinton High School, Clinton Middle School, Eastside Elementary School, Clinton Elementary School, Joanna-Woodson Elementary, and M.S. Bailey Child Development Center each organized meaningful events. The ceremonies featured patriotic performances, heartfelt speeches, and poignant tributes, showcasing the district's commitment to recognizing the bravery and dedication of veterans.
At Clinton High School, students presented a moving program, including a color guard presentation and heartfelt thank-you messages to attending veterans. Clinton Middle School hosted a special assembly, where local veteran, Arthur Lee Philson Jr., shared his experiences and received appreciation from the students. Eastside Elementary School honored veterans with a patriotic parade of students, while Clinton Elementary School organized a touching ceremony, presenting certificates of appreciation to honored guests.
Joanna-Woodson Elementary School also joined in, hosting a heartfelt event that brought together students, veterans, and community members. The M.S. Bailey Child Development Center, the district's early childhood education hub, engaged young learners in patriotic activities, laying the foundation for future generations' understanding and appreciation of Veterans Day.
The ceremonies not only honored veterans but also served as a valuable learning experience for students, teaching them about the significance of Veterans Day and the importance of gratitude.
