Melanie Dillingham Watson:

Last night (April 21) was a great one to be a Red Devil! All of our teams won their games! Varsity girls soccer, JV boys soccer, and varsity boys soccer defeated Chester! JV softball, varsity softball, and varsity baseball defeated Emerald! #GBR

Both varsity soccer teams defeated Emerald tonight (April 25)! Varsity baseball defeated Union to win the region championship (again)! #GBR

Baseball: Clinton 6 – Union County 1… I need to catch you up with the Red Devil varsity baseball team and give you a score from last Tuesday night that was just posted to their Game Changer site… The Red Devils finished their region schedule last Tuesday traveling to Union County HS to take on the Yellow Jackets… Good news for Red Devil fans as the team took a 6-1 win over the Yellow Jackets to run their region record to 8-0 and clinch the region championship… The Red Devils scored 2 runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th inning and held Union to a, single run in the 4th inning… The Red Devils outhit the Yellow Jackets 6-4 with Wilson Wages being the only Red Devil to get more than 1 hit as he went 2 for 3 with a triple and a RBI… Caleb Taylor and Luke Young each had a hit and it was a double that drove in runs… Wil Stewart picked up the complete game win as he gave up the 1 earned run on 4 hits while striking out 8 and walking 2… The Red Devils will start playoff action next Tuesday (May 2nd) at home and I believe they will be hosting the Broome Centurions. -- Mike Hughes Sports Report, WLBG Radio
