WYFF-TV has issued the following report:

The closing of a business in Laurens County, South Carolina, will mean layoffs for about 100 employees.

Renfro Distribution in Clinton will begin layoffs in March, and layoffs will be completed by end of June, according to Jonathan Coleman, the president and CEO of the Laurens County Development Corporation.

"Renfro Brands is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of quality socks and legwear products," according to the company's website.

The closure will impact about 100 employees, according to the WARN notice.

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act offers protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days prior to covered closings and covered mass layoffs. This notice must be provided to either the affected workers or their representatives (e.g., a labor union); to the State Rapid Reemployment team; and to the appropriate unit of local government.

The WARN notice says the layoff/closure date is set for March 5
