Blue Hose lacrosse seeks home win Saturday
The Blue Hose lead the nation picking up 27.00 ground balls per game.

The Presbyterian College women’s lacrosse team takes on Coastal Carolina 5 p.m. Saturday at Martin Stadium in the team’s Big South Conference home opener.

PC fell at Longwood, 20-4, on Saturday. Four different Blue Hose players scored in the game.

Natalie BarnettAlexandra ColeJess Goergen and Cady Roberts all scored in the game, while Roberts contributed an assist.

The Blue Hose lead the nation picking up 27.00 ground balls per game, while they sit fourth causing 12.56 turnovers per game. Maura Talvacchia leads the country causing 3.56 turnovers per game, while Sophia Cuzzupe holds 11th gathering 3.33 ground balls a contest.

Lauren Schaaf leads PC with 20 goals and 23 points, while Roberts powers the Blue Hose with seven assists.

The Chanticleers took a 16-8 loss in their conference opener at High Point on Saturday. Coastal took 22 shots and put 16 on frame in the contest.

Charlotte O’Leary led the Chanticleers with three goals, while four different players provided an assist.

Sara Nolan powers the Coastal offense with 18 goals and 23 points, while Maggie Carr has provided 14 assists this season.
