PC had a four-game win streak snapped by UNC Asheville, 68-59, Tuesday night in the Kimmel Arena. The Blue Hose held a 36-20 points in the paint advantage and grabbed 15 offensive rebounds. Taylor Petty led the Blue Hose with 12 points, while Janie Miles brought in a career-high seven rebounds and added six points. Petty leads PC averaging 11.3 points per game, while Allie Wagner pulls in 5.6 rebounds a contest.

Gardner-Webb won six in a row before they fell to Liberty, 73-51, on Tuesday in Lynchburg, Va. The Runnin’ Bulldogs were led by Olivia Parker’s eight points and seven rebounds, while Candace Brown also provided eight points and pulled down six boards. Parker leads Gardner-Webb averaging 14 points and nine rebounds a game, while Brown adds 13.7 points and 6.4 rebounds a contest.

The Blue Hose boast a 29-14 all-time series record against Gardner-Webb, while the Runnin’ Bulldogs won four of the last five meetings. GWU took the last matchup, 50-47, in Boiling Springs, N.C.

Longwood dropped five straight before they topped Winthrop, 67-60, on Tuesday at home. The Lancers held a 32-3 bench points advantage. Daeisha Brown led Longwood with 19 points and three assists and added three rebounds, while Kemari Jones grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Kyndal Skersick leads Longwood with 9.5 points a game, while Eboni Gilliam hauls in 6.4 rebounds a contest.

PC owns a 7-5 all-time series record against Longwood, with the Blue Hose taking seven of the last eight matchups. PC rolled to a 59-38 win in Farmville, Va. on December 5 earlier this season.

The Blue Hose hit the road for a 2 p.m. showdown at High Point on February 6.
