The Return at The Statehouse

Rep. Stewart Jones, R-Laurens, will be speaker at Saturday event - Columbia.

“OverWatch USA”, a Christian activist organization promoting the restoration of America’s foundations and “South Carolina – We, the People”, a faith based grassroots coalition of South Carolinians who care about their faith and the state of their country are co-hosting a RETURN SOUTH CAROLINA RALLY in Columbia in support of the national event being held in Washington DC at the same time.

Tom Dunn, founder and president of OverWatch USA said, “This event is a solemn assembly and a holy convocation for repentance and returning of the church to the Lord.”   Erik Corcoran, founder of South Carolina – We, the People said, “I believe the Church has a moral duty to stand for life, end human trafficking, stand up for religious freedom and get involved in the political arena.”  Dunn and Corcoran are joining arms to unite the churches of South Carolina in a call to repentance, restoration and Christian activism.

Jim Evans of Foundations Matter and consultant to the event said, “Darkness is the absence of light.  Silence in the face of evil removes the light and the hope it offers.  Tolerance and compromise feel good, but Truth and confrontation bring hope and guidance.”

The event will consist of numerous speakers including SC State Representatives Josiah Magnuson and Stewart Jones.  Pastor Mark Burns, Christian activist seen on CNN, Fox News and other news outlets will be joined by Erik Corcoran, Jim Evans and Tom Dunn.  Various pastors will lead those gathered in prayers of repentance and renewal.
