TODAY: Bubbles are not tiny

Bubbleologist Steve Langley brings the giant kind to Clinton Library

Bubbleologist Steve Langley - world record holder for the longest bubble caterpillar - brings some giant bubbles and a rain of bubble onto the kids at the Clinton Library's Summer Reading Program.

Teaching about bubbles, Langley has a portion of his program inside the library, then moves outside so kids can chase some bubbles. He also brought bubble magic this morning to the Laurens Library, where the breeze was a little better for bubble rising and chasing.

Bubbles are the first in a series of programs at the libraries. This is info about the rest of the summer:

Readers of all ages will explore all things sports and fitness this summer as Laurens County Public Library presents “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read” during their summer library program.

The 2016 Summer Reading Program is free and open to young people, preschool children through adults, with programs, prize drawings, special guest performers, and more.

A free t-shirt will be given to each child (ages 12 and below) who signs up for the Summer Reading program. These t-shirts have been provided by the Laurens County Public Library Friends of the Library.
