Lottery Winner in Clinton

It’s a New Car for a Clinton Lottery Winner
Speedee Mart at 730 W. Main St. in Clinton sold the $250,000 winning ticket
A new car is parked in the driveway of a Clinton home, after the owner won $250,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.
“I’m just chilling,” the winner told lottery officials who caught up with her a few days after she cashed in the big win and went shopping for a new car.
She admits scratching off a quarter-of-a-million dollar prize was shocking. Her win came on a $10 Gold Rush ticket she bought at the Speedee Mart on W. Main St. in Clinton.
“It was like I was having a little heart attack,” she said describing the moment she won.
She’s feeling good today and getting lots of compliments on her new ride. “Yeah, I tell people the Lottery helped pay for it,” she laughed.
Two top prizes of $250,000 remain in the Gold Rush game, at odds of 1 in 660,000. For selling the claimed ticket, Speedee Mart in Clinton received a commission of $2,500.
