Drug testing controversy
A Spartanburg television station says drug testing in Laurens County is under a SC Department of Social Services investigation. The station’s report says test results possibly were falsified through Accurate Diagnostics at the Laurens County branch.
WSPA says all tests conducted between Jan. 3 and Oct, 20, 2015 are “questionable.” The TV station says a public defender in Laurens County has questioned whether drug test results are authentic.
The case reportedly involves a test that showed children had meth in their systems, and a woman was arrested and charged, held on $60,000 bond and spent nearly 3 months in jail. A lawsuit has been filed, a report said.
