Praiser dancers from Glory Dance Ministry in Greenwood brought performances to the glory of God and in recognition of the June 18 opening of Kingdom Building, Inc. in Clinton.

Gospel music, prayers and brief remarks were part of Saturday morning's program of honor, food and fellowship that officially opened the community enhancement center, a vision of Thomas Vance. Phase I, opening now, will provide resources and services to children and families, and to provide opportunities for individual and social development. Phase II, opening in September, will be the Ella C. Savage Multicultural Center to preserve the historical and cultural history of Clinton.

Vance said Kingdom Building will be a "multi-cultural community center and a giving back facility." He said it grew from a commitment he made to his teacher and mentor, the late Mrs. Savage, to work on bringing the heritage of Clinton to a new generation. Kingdom Building Inc. is at 124 Musgrove St.

More information and photos will be in the June 22 issue of The Clinton Chronicle.
