Words on a page are chilling, but something we’ve come to expect. The numbers are just figures written side-by-side - we’ve been conditioned just to take them for granted.

Sometimes a columnist has a lot on their minds and a column becomes a smorgasbord of thoughts.
We are emphasizing Clinton as our theme for this pivotal year - 2020. We, meaning our Clinton community, are poised to undertake projects; but right now we need some successes. For me, that means extending this invitation:
Presbyterian College writes a monthly column for us - we invite The City of Clinton to do that, as well.
Mid-February it will be eight years for me here at The Clinton Chronicle.
And in all that time, and in the 20 years before that I spent in Newberry, and the eight years before that I spent in Florence, and in two turns at The Index in Greenwood, I never, not even once, took a picture at a wrestling match.
